A Journey of Purpose & Passion

Kairu Coffee was born from a transformative encounter in Tokyo, where our founder discovered a coffee shop owner whose passion transcended the ordinary.

This Japanese roaster's meticulous approach manipulating roast profiles to enhance fruity notes and honor each bean's origin sparked a vision. Drawing from our Alaskan-Native heritage and inspired by Japanese minimalism, we created Kairu as a sanctuary where patrons can experience the true essence of coffee.

Our product names (Pow, Stoke, Backcountry, Steeze, Gnar, Kicker, Tree Run) pay homage to our love of snowboarding and Alaska's pristine landscapes.
